A person wrote to you, asked you something directly, and you haven't replied in that thread since. Bulk mail, lists, portal notices and mail from your own addresses are left out. If something is there by mistake, tap Not waiting.

It marks the message read in Gmail, so unread can stay your to-do list. Undo puts it back to unread. Opening a message never marks it read.

Swipe all the way across, or choose Move to Gmail Trash. It goes to Gmail's Trash, where Gmail keeps it for 30 days, and Undo brings it back. Lovely never deletes anything for good.

Hide in Lovely takes a message out of your feed on this phone only. Nothing changes in Gmail.

No. Draft reply and New open Gmail with your words ready, and you send from there. Lovely can't send on its own.

Tell Lovely they're yours: open your profile, then Your other addresses. Mail from them goes to Notes to self and is never counted as waiting on you.

People's photos come from your own Contacts, if you allow it. Company icons come from the company's own website. To stop that, turn off Company logos in your profile under Pictures.

While Lovely is in testing, Google ends test sign-ins after seven days. Tap Reconnect; the mail you'd loaded stays put.

It writes the short version of a message or a person's timeline, and helps check whether someone is really waiting on a reply. It can take a message out of Waiting on you but never adds one.

An iPhone 15 Pro or later with Apple Intelligence turned on. On other iPhones, Lovely shows the first line of each message instead, labeled as such.

Open your profile and tap Disconnect Gmail. The mail Lovely saved on your phone is cleared. To remove its access from Google's side too, visit myaccount.google.com/permissions.
